Hug gives international masterclasses and performance lectures in English, French and German at symposia and art colleges such as MC Gill University Montreal, CNMAT University of California Berkeley, New York University Berlin, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of the Witwatersrand Johannesburg, China Academy of Art Hangzhou etc.
As a long-standing member of the London Improvisers Orchestra, Hug has worked with improvising orchestras such as the KIO Krakow Improvisers Orchestra, the SPIO São Paulo Improvisers Orchestra, etc. She also developed her intermedial orchestral piece ‘Nachtplasmen’ with the highly talented musicians of the Lucerne Festival Academy.
Hug is a lecturer in free and interdisciplinary improvisation at the HSLU Lucerne University of Music and leads the postgraduate course "Creation & Scenario in Music" at the ZHdK Zurich University of the Arts, which she initiated.
